Privacy Policy

PrepStory is a solo-founded product. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We keep it short and honest.
What we collect
We collect the following data when you use PrepStory:
- Name and email address — provided by Google when you sign in with Google OAuth.
- Interview transcripts — the conversation between you and Allie during mock interviews, stored so you can review your scorecard and generate an ideal answer.
- Your answers and questions — the questions you prep for and the answers you write or generate, stored per round.
- Payment information — your purchase history (amount, date, reference ID). We do not store your card details — payments are handled entirely by Razorpay.
How we use it
We use your data to:
- Operate the app — save your rounds, questions, answers, and interview history.
- Generate AI responses — your question, resume, and JD are sent to Anthropic's API to produce answers and conduct mock interviews.
- Process payments — your payment is handled by Razorpay and we record the transaction in our database.
- Improve the product — we may review aggregated, anonymised usage patterns to understand how the app is being used.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.
Third-party services
PrepStory uses the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
- Supabase — our database provider. Your data is stored on Supabase-hosted Postgres.
- Razorpay — payment processing. Card and UPI details never touch our servers.
- Anthropic — the AI behind Allie and answer generation. Your question text, resume, and JD are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses.
- Deepgram — voice transcription during mock interviews. Your recorded audio is sent to Deepgram's API and transcribed server-side; audio is not stored by us.
Data deletion
To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email us at prepstoryai@gmail.com. We will delete your data within 7 days.
